On March 27 he spoke at a special symposium given in honor of Colon Cancer Awareness Month at the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Suffolk. His talk on the combined modality treatment of rectal cancer can be found here.
On April 18 Dr. Stark spoke to the cancer Conference at Maryview Medical Center about Ductal Carcinoma in Situ, an increasingly common diagnosis in women with abnormal mammograms. There is a great deal of controversy about how to manage this pre-malignant entity. With the advent of newer tests on breast tumors the controversy is growing. This talk can be seen here. On April 25 at the Spirit of Women series Dr. Stark updated the audience on the latest information on the treatment of osteoporosis. This talk is also available here. In November he reviewed the complex subject of Mantle Cell Leukemia and Lymphoma in the context of a patient he cared for over a five-year period. Click here to review.
